The Beach Day 2
Finally a nice day of rest. I slept in until 10! I know not a personal record by far, but it has been on this trip. We were getting up early to catch buses or go out in service, both noble causes but both tiring as well. Breakfast was good, crepes with fruit. The ocean is so beautiful. It is nice to sit on our hotel balcony and read or do crossword puzzles. I´m not too good at the puzzles so I enlist Jennifer and Nathan to help and we all feel stupid together. After we get home from lunch we find that a juice bottle i had in my backpack has exploded from fermenting in the heat. Not cool! Jugo de Mora (blackberry) juice is all over the place! So that prompts me to empty my backpack and take most all of my clothes to the laundrymat. The lady says it will all come out… we shall see. Nathan and I swim in the ocean while Jennifer reads. She´s not big on the sun, or the beach for that matter. But she has read like 3 books already so I suppose it´s good for her reading. Dinner is nice as we enjoy ecuadors version of italian food. The college championship game is on in the lobby and I check out the first half. Things aren´t really going my way so I make my way to the towns internet cafe for a little chat with dad and Kimberly. It´s nice to be able to communicate even though I´m on an obscure beach in the middle of a third world country.
