New apartment

Guess where I am right at this moment? Sitting at our new kitchen table in our new apartment!!! Por Fin! (At Last!)

We were able to move in on Thursday. We have been working like silly trying to get everything unpacked and put away. We are getting very close to being finished. We have pretty much all the furniture we need. We still need to buy curtains. We’re supposed to go back to Ambato this coming Monday with Letty (the elder’s wife) to shop for them. We’ll see how it goes. I might just buy shower curtains! That’s what I did for the kitchen. - it’s too cute!

Update on our rent: the landlady did NOT accept our offer of $1,000 for the year. She just thought we were paying for the whole year in advance and she didn’t realize that $100 times 12 is $1,200, not $1,000. So, we got our $1,000 back and will pay $100 a month. Still not too bad for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment.

Well, we have uploaded lots more photos and videos! Yay!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot….we have internet in our house AND you can CALL US!!! Nathan has set up this thing where anyone can call us using our Skype program, but your own phone! You just pick up the phone and call us at 501-859-0495. Notice that this is a 501 number, so it will just be a regular long distance call!!! Awesome huh? Anyway, if you call us and we don’t answer, please leave a message so we’ll know you called and can call you back. (It’s only 2 cents a minute for us to call you!)
