The New Adventures of Nathan and Jennifer!

OH MY GOODNESS! You guys are NOT going to believe this!!!

We found out that the Sign Language group has a “Sign Theocratic Ministry School” once a month. So, we decided we would start attending that. Tonight was our first one to attend. As soon as we got there and put our stuff down, a sister who does most of the translating (Carme) came over to me and started telling me that she had a talk tonight and her householder called her right before the meeting and told her she was sick and wasn’t going to make it. I thought, “oh, you have got to be kidding me!” Sure enough, Carme asked if I would be her HOUSEHOLDER!!! Of course I had to say yes. So, on our very first Sign School meeting I was a substitute householder! How crazy is that??? Here’s what I said: “Good. Come in. - Bien. Pasa.” “Jesus - Jesús” “I don’t know - no se.” “When we get old we die. - viejo muere” “Adam - Adán” “I don’t know - no se” “The Bible says we have to have faith. What does having faith mean? - Biblia dice nosotros fe. ¿Seña fe significa que?” “Yes, I’ll go. - Sí, yo ir.” The talk was about why Jesus died for us and she was inviting me to the Memorial. The Spanish translation beside the English is what I literally said in Signs. (for those of you who know Spanish) Anyway, that was pretty exciting. I guess I have to join the school now. :-) Nathan joined the school and will give his first Sign talk March 26th. I most certainly plan on videoing it!

Love and miss you all,

Jennifer
